about

Elemental Guitar (1994/1995) was my way of getting back into guitar playing. I used the same looping system I used for Maximum Electric Piano and did mild touring up and down the east coast and New England. But the set-up was flawed in attempting to be a surrogate rock band. To my ears, the most successful tracks are the Dream Interpretations, especially No.8. But I am also partial to the live performance of Jimi Hendrix's "Are You Experienced" on WMBR. Elemental Guitar is the precursor for my current "Book of Dreams" Guitar music, which utilizes a much richer set of devices and loops than was available at the end of the last century. Elemental Guitar was originally released by SST. Thanks Greg, Ron and Sydney and the rest at that time!
