about

This was my third and final Maximum Electric Piano album. I used an electric baby grand piano with strings, a looping device, guitar effects, prepared piano objects (bolts, alligator clips, guitar picks, etc.), and vocals to create a unique live performance blending rock, industrial and classical elements. On "Win! Instantly!" I included more overdubs than on "The Big Industry." It was my first record on SST. Released 1989.

Roger Miller: Maximum Electric Piano, Vocals, Guitar, Percussion and Sampled Percussion, Bass Guitar, Reed Organ.
Russ Smith: Sonic Percolator, Bass Guitar, throat.

Lawrence Dersch (drum set).
Tanya Donelly (voice).

Win! Instantly was recorded at Downtown Recorders in Boston, June-November 1988.
